The Linnets boss, who less than a week ago loaned the Pilgrims’ Gary Mills for the second time this term, added another player to his ranks from the Skrill North outfit.

This time he snapped up frontman Charley Sanders until the end of the season after the teenager signed a contract to secure his long-term future in Lincolnshire. The 18-year-old’s arrival eases a striker shortage at The Walks with Massiah McDonald just two games into a seven-match ban and fellow frontmen Rob Duffy and Sam Mulready both struggling with hamstring problems. That left Setchell with just one recognised frontman, Ewan Clarke, for today’s home Evo-Stik Premier Division clash with Buxton until he swooped for Sanders.

Lynn’s boss described the United ace as a “raw but powerful lad who gives us another option”.

He said prior to the move being announced: “Duffers came off last week and is 30/70 at best while Sam Mulready was ruled out yesterday and has no chance for Buxton really. We have got a bit of a striker problem as we have Ewan and that’s it but I’m working hard and I’m hoping to get somebody in.”

Sanders, who has progressed through his club’s Academy, has already spent time away from Boston, most notably with Spalding United.
