A summer of misery for speedway fans has continued today with this evening’s meeting between King’s Lynn Stars and Swindon Robins falling foul of the weather.

Tonight’s Elite League clash at the Norfolk Arena - set to be televised on Sky Sports - has been called off with overnight rain set to continue long into the day.

Lynn’s last three meetings have been postponed and the abandonment is the Stars fifth at home this season.

Rob Lyon’s team are set to race at Poole on Wednesday, Coventry and Friday, and hope to welcome Belle Vue to their Saddlebow Road track next Wednesday.
