King’s Lynn Stars chief Keith Chapman wants them to build on their encouraging start to the season as they host Poole this evening (7.30).

The Stars stormed to an impressive win over Belle Vue to kick off their Premiership campaign last week before earning a hard-fought consolation point at champions Swindon the following evening.

It has created a feel-good factor around the Adrian Flux Arena in the early stages of the campaign - and Chapman has urged his side to keep it going against the Pirates.

“It was nice to finally get started last week,” Chapman said.

“It was a very good result and encouraging performance, followed by another good performance at Swindon the following night.

“You always want to get off to a winning start, especially at home, so doing that against a good Belle Vue side was very important.

“It’s a long season and it’s early days yet.

“We’ll need a bit of luck along the way, but we hope we can build on this start and get another three points against Poole on Wednesday.”

Poole have experienced a tough start to their campaign, suffering a home defeat to Swindon and being well beaten at Wolverhampton on Monday.

They nonetheless pose a real threat with talented Australian Brady Kurtz and former Grand Prix star Peter Kildemand amongst their big names.

King’s Lynn will also be at full strength, with Lewis Rose set to battle through the pain barrier with ligament damage in his wrist.

Supporters are also reminded to get involved with the pre-meeting entertainment, with timed hot laps featuring riders from both sides at 7pm and a selfie zone featuring the bike of three-time World Champion Nicki Pedersen.

Team management and riders will be in the fans zone answering questions after racing is completed.

King’s Lynn: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Lewis Rose, Ty Proctor, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert, Kasper Andersen, Lewis Kerr.

Poole: Brady Kurtz, Kacper Woryna, Josh Grajczonek, Linus Sundstrom, Peter Kildemand, Mateusz Szczepaniak, James Shanes.
