Simon Lambert reckons King's Lynn's success is one in the eye for the detractors ahead of this evening's date with destiny at the Adrian Flux Arena (7.30).
The Stars lead Belle Vue by eight points going into the home second leg in this season's SGB Premiership semi-final.
It comes on the back of Dale Allitt's men topping the pile for the first time since joining British speedway's elite with Boston-born Lambert keen to play his part from reserve.
'People wrote us off at the start of the year, it was similar at Peterborough but both teams I am riding for are sat top of the tree,' said Lambert.
'You get the critics but together we have done our talking on the track. You get all of these keyboard warriors but the answer is simple – come and try riding.
'I have been in and out at King's Lynn but that doesn't really matter, I still want to do well and am proud to represent the club.
'Everyone is pulling their weight and hopefully we can bring home the silverware.'
The Stars head into the clash with a full one to seven against the injury-hit Aces who will run a six-man team.
It has been confirmed however that Craig Cook will not be among them due to ongoing problems with the wrist injury he sustained at the German GP and will sit out of their semi-final decider.
Swindon's Tobiasz Musielak will guest for injury victim Dan Bewley at No.5 and Coty Garcia comes in at No.7 in place of Mark Riss, with Rider Replacement remaining in play at No.2 for Cook.
Skipper Max Fricke said: 'As far as I'm concerned, the pressure's off us. We go there with nothing to lose and everything to gain from this next leg.
'They have the advantage but we've still got gas in the tank and everything to play for, and we're going to throw absolutely everything at this to pull it back and give them a run for their money.'
Meanwhile, Stars skipper Robert Lambert finished third in the 2018 FIM World Under-21 Championship. Lambert's runners-up spot in Pardubice on Friday secured the bronze medal position for the second time in his career – but on this occasion with 12 more points than he had collected in 2016.
