King’s Lynn Stars’ rider Thomas Jorgensen is ready to take his career to the next level.

Jorgensen raced through the pain barrier in the latter part of last season but still managed to hit the big numbers with King’s Lynn.

And he says a season clear of injury will help him take his status up a notch at the Adrian Flux Arena.

“I thought I did well last year but I now feel ready to take my career up a level,” he said.

“I’m going to be fit and ready after all the hard work I’ve put in on the knee and I feel the time is right to put an extra point or two on my average.

“Everyone at King’s Lynn is buzzing right now and we have to make good use of that by making a good start to the season.”

Jorgensen, one of three Danish riders in the Stars side, will remain based in the UK near Wolverhampton despite his growing continental fixture list.

“It’s good to be in the Midlands from a travelling point of view and King’s Lynn isn’t a bad journey for me because I always leave plenty of time.

“The team looks great but we have to prove it out there on the track and I think we can do that.

“It’s great to have a rider like Niels-Kristian Iversen with us, I know he’s popular here and I’ve seen the reaction to him coming back to us. Speaking to him I know how pleased he is to be back here too, it feels like his British home.

“I’m working hard getting everything ready for the new season and I want to be as well prepared as possible, I don’t want to leave anything to chance.

“It’s going to be a big season for me and the team and I can’t wait to get going.”
