In-form King's Lynn have the chance to fire in front of the nation at the Norfolk Arena this evening.

The Stars, who have won six of their seven Elite League meetings in 2014, take on Swindon Robins under the glare of Sky Sports' cameras. And boss Rob Lyon admits he is keen for his men to shine during their first televised clash – which starts at the earlier time of 7.30pm – of the season.

The Stars team boss said: 'I've said it before but it's true - our home record is key. You need to build on your home record and go away and take as many points as you can. That's what we've done so far. That's usually enough to get you in the play-offs.

'There is a chance we'll go the whole season unbeaten at home if we keep performing like we have been, but there's also a chance we'll lose one or two meetings. If one or two boys have an off-night somebody will come and take advantage. It's not something I can wave a magic wand at. So that makes getting all three league points the aim for any meeting.'

The Stars have won all of their four home meetings by seven points or more to record an impressive maximum haul on their own shale. This evening will be the first time they have made a change to their line-up this campaign mind with Kenneth Bjerre ruled out thanks to the collarbone injury he sustained against Leicester Lions at Saddlebow Road on April, 30. His place will be taken in the team by Belle Vue Aces' seven-time British champion Scott Nicholls.

Lyon said: 'The Grand Prix (Saturday) is Kenneth's aim and hopefully he'll come through that ok. We've just got to monitor it and see how it goes.

'Scott is an honest guy who gives 100pc and he's been riding well this year. He rides King's Lynn well and I am sure he will be a great help to us. Hopefully he can bring in a decent haul.'

Nicholls didn't get chance to ride against Lynn on Monday because the Aces' home clash with the Stars was postponed. On the same night a string of late 5-1 race reverses ruined Swindon's chances of bringing anything home from Wolverhampton. The Robins were beaten 52-38.
