Three junior kayakers from Norwich Canoe Club have been selected to race for Great Britain at an international race in Belgium next weekend.

Florence Duffield, aged 14, and Matthew Hayward and Harry Shearer, both 16, will be travelling over to Ghent to race against many top European junior athletes.

They will compete in a marathon kayak race over 18 kilometres as part of a GB junior development squad that seeks to identify future stars.

The three athletes earned their places through their performances at races all over the country during the spring.
