Kai Huckenbeck has won his race against the clock to feature in King's Lynn's double header against Poole and Rye House on Thursday night (7.30pm).

It means the Stars run with a full one to seven after Huckenbeck, the wildcard for the upcoming FIM German Speedway Grand Prix, recovered sufficiently to ride through the discomfort caused by Tuesday night's spill at Rye House.

Promoter Keith Chapman said: 'We wanted to give Kai as much time and the best possible chance to make it. His dedication to the cause has to be commended.

'He is still feeling it a bit sore but these lads are made of tough stuff and it is a big boost to have him available.'

Meanwhile, Chapman clarified that Robert Lambert is scheduled to race in both meetings but there is scope for a guest booking should the pain of the number one's long-standing knee injury become too much.

'Robert heads our team and is an important rider for us, we very much want him to be involved but we have a responsibility to make sure he does not compete if he's not fit enough,' he said.

'The plan is to track Robert in both meetings but with his problem and last week's issues in mind, the club has planned ahead in order to put out the strongest possible team in both eventualities.'
