Great Yarmouth Town bounced back from Saturday's FA Cup defeat against Chesham by recording a comfortable Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division win at The Wellesley last night.

Vistors Walsham le Willows grabbed an early lead but Aaron Sanders soon got the Bloaters back on level terms.

It was still 1-1 at the break but goals from Rob Andersen and Joel Gilmour put the hosts in control and they went on to win 3-1.

Wroxham moved up to fifth when they beat Stowmarket 2-1 at Plantation Park.

Having started the season slowly the Yachtsmen have now won four successive matches to surge up the table.

They conceded early on to a soft goal but were ahead at the break and went on to see out a hard-fought win, with Paul Weavers being sent off for the visitors.

In Division One Swaffham Town won 2-0 at Norwich CBS, with Joe Jackson getting both of the goals.

Elsewhere Norwich United Under-23s won 3-1 at Downham Town who had Alex Bailey sent off after picking up two yellow cards while Diss Town were hammered 7-0 at Framlingham.

Wisbech Town were beaten 3-1 at home by Boston Town in the the United Counties League, with Josh Ford getting what proved to be a consolation goal.

In the FA Cup Lowestoft Town discovered their second qualifying round opponents when Harlow Town beat Thurrock 2-1 in a replay.

The game will be at the Amber Dew Events Stadium on Saturday week.

Champions Windmill took on True Traders, who went ahead through Luke Watson, only for Windmill to strike back soon after.

With only a few minutes left debutant Jake Jessup stepped up to take a free-kick 30 yards out and coolly slotted home to condemn Windmill to their first defeat in over a year.

El Sol claimed a 14-0 win away to Real Ale Madrid while there was a hat-trick for Joel Wilson and a goal for Jamie Shipp against Memphis Belton as Wheelwrights ran out 6-2 winners. Goals for Memphis came from Dale Howe and Marley Symonds.
