Ashley Watson sent Norwich surging clear at the top of the Premier Division as title rivals Fakenham were once again left to bemoan the bad weather.

Left-arm spinner Watson collected outstanding figures of six for four as struggling Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers were bowled out for 49 at Ingham, before the hosts completed a six-wicket win.

That sent Norwich 18 points clear of Fakenham, whose match at Brundall against Vauxhall Mallards A was callled off in the morning.

Old Buckenham continued their impressive return to the top flight, as their six-wicket win at Lowestoft moved them up to third.

Robbie Austin followed up his hat-trick in the previous game with four for 24 on Saturday and Australian Paul Donovan steered Bucks past their target with an unbeaten 61.

Another Aussie in form was Downham's Harry Evans, who hit 69 in a winning draw at home to Diss.

Sprowston moved further clear of danger at the bottom with a winning draw at bottom side Acle.

Half-centuries from Jon Leverett (50) and skipper Simon Chipperfield (56) helped Sprowston build a competitive total, despite the efforts of Acle seamers Jon Lee (four for 29) and Paul Newman (three for 36). The Acle reply was built around 75 from Peter Nobbs, but the hosts finished 47 runs short of victory with eight wickets down as Pankog Biswas, Ryan Pearce and Will Hampson each took two wickets.

No play was possible in the west Norfolk derby between North Runcton and Stow.

Brooke beat Division One leaders Mattishall by 117 runs to draw level on points with their opponents at the top of the table.

Rob Panter (67no) led the way for Brooke, with Mattishall's Gordon Chetwood (three for 14) the most successful bowler. Mattishall were then skittled out for 73 with only one batsman reaching double figures. Will Oakey did the damage, taking six for 24.

Bradfield remain in contention at the top after Dave Yarham made 50no in their winning draw at home to Swardeston A.

Norwich A boosted their survival hopes with a seven-wicket win at Dereham which puts the hosts firmly in the relegation picture.

Dereham, who topped the table just seven weeks ago, were bowled out for 94 and they now stand one place and nine points above the drop zone.

Second from bottom Bradenham saw their game at home to Topcroft abandoned without a ball bowled.

In Division Two, Beccles edged a low-scoring match at home to Saxlingham to go top of the table.

Alex Wright took four for 13 as Saxlingham were dismissed for 66, before Beccles lost seven wickets in pursuit of their small target.

Hethersett & Tas Valley's Dave Coyle enjoyed a fantastic day with bat and ball as his side won a close encounter at home to Fakenham A by two wickets.

Coyle claimed five for 27 and then hit 65 to guide Tas towards a narrow win, despite Lloyd Marshall's five for 49 for Fakenham.

Downham A moved up to third with an eight-wicket win at bottom side Hales & Loddon, Michael Crisp making 60no for the visitors.

Great Melton picked up their second win of the season as Daryl Godbold took five for 13 in their five-wicket win at home to Saham Toney.

Tom York's prolific form this season continued as Bungay moved further clear at the top of Division Four with a 135-run win against Kirkley & Lowestoft Railway.

York added to his mountain of runs this summer with 130 and George Mattocks sealed the win, taking five for eight.

Half-centuries from Mick Broad (86) and Nathan King (71) saw Narborough crush Ashmanhaugh & Barton Wanderers A by 181 runs.

Darren Payne (five for 19) and Kevin Neale (four for 25) put Cromer A in a strong position against Hethersett & Tas Valley A, before Ben Clarke (50) helped complete a six-wicket win.

In Division Three, Swaffham's David Annakin ran through the Sheringham batting line-up, taking six for four as the seasiders were dismissed for 44. Swaffham went on to win by nine wickets.

Garboldisham A cemented their grip on top spot in Division Five with a 10-wicket thumping of Brooke A. Chris Jones claimed four for 32 for the leaders.

Stow A remain their closest challengers after an eight-wicket win against Bradenham A, Chris Manning taking four for 14.
