The Fenmen have only competed once since they beat Hadleigh United in the last 16 on February 15 so have arranged a friendly for tonight ahead of trying to keep their Wembley dream alive on the south coast.

Town, who visit Sholing in the last eight of the national competition at the weekend, will welcome Peterborough Premier Division champions Moulton Harrox to the Elgood’s Fenland Stadium.

Joint-boss Dick Creasey admitted prior to his team’s weekend win over Northampton Sileby Rangers that he feared they would become rusty due to a lack of action. But it didn’t show as Kieron Doherty, Callum Reed, Stuart Cobb and Matt Lunn all hit the net in a comfortable 4-1 United Counties League Premier Division triumph. Doherty was sent-off having opened the scoring. Sholing also hit the net four times in their weekend win against Hamworthy United.

Tonight’s Vase warm-up kicks-off at 7.45pm. Heavily reduced admission prices will cost £2 and £1.
