East Anglia squash duo still the teams to beat

Both of East Anglia’s teams recorded victories in the second week of the 2012-13 season as the first team won their Norfolk SRA League Premier Division match against Potters 17-10 while the second team visited Bannatyne’s and won 15-8.
For the first team Hadleigh Farrer and John Cordeaux both won their matches 3-1 beating Eric Plane and Rob Hambrook respectively but the decisive match was the fifth string one where Jack Pearse won a nail-biting fifth game against David Hall eventually winning 13-7 11-13 13-5 11-13 14-12. The second team match was another close affair as Andrew Woods and Steve Mooney both won 3-1 against Paul Gedge and Kevin Harvey respectively while David Youngs won the first string match beating Jordan Creed in straight games. For Bannatyne’s Ali Dawson beat Ashley Briggs 3-1 and Max Dawson won the fifth string match against Mark Rolfe 3-0.
Fakenham’s match against East Anglia III was postponed in Division One while North Walsham beat Barnham Broom II 14-8.
The newly formed North Walsham second team were also successful as they had a 20-4 maximum against Broadland III in Division Two. Dave Attew won the fifth string match 3-2, Robert Stimpson and Rob Whiting both won 3-1 and Ben Parravani and Matt Sumner both won in straight games. Cromer won their second match of the new season beating Wensum Lodge 16-9. Nick Dunnett and veteran John Chandler won their matches 3-1.
In Division Three Cromer II were well beaten by North Norfolk II who eased their way to a 19-5 victory. Devendra Mahatme and Kevin Blake both won their matches 3-1 while Darren Gill and first team captain Tim Perry both won in straight games. Potters II also had a comfortable victory, beating UEA II 17-5 with Richard Soanes, Cliff High and David Cook all winning in straight games.
Finally in Division Four Oasis beat Broadland Mixed 16-1 with John Milton, Ben Serruys and Elliott Serruys all winning in straight games and Richard Hatch winning 3-1.
