Dereham boss Neal Simmons has urged fans to back the bid for promotion.

The Magpies are hoping to return to action today – if Aldiss Park passes a 9am inspection – after successive postponements when they entertain Waltham Abbey.

'We are hoping that the weather allows us to get back on the pitch,' said Simmons, whose side are seventh in the table.

'We have a home game to start the run-in which is nice and I urge our fans to please get behind the team as we push for a good finish.

'We have only six home games left and supporters will have a big part to play.

'Waltham Abbey are a good footballing team that we'll be prepared for.'

Seamus Kelleher and Andy Howell will be added to Simmons' squad, but Jamie Forshaw is still missing.

The Magpies beat the Essex side, who are currently 16th in the North Division table, away in a high scoring match in September with Rhys Logan netting a hat-trick and Danny Beaumont a penalty in their 4-3 win.
