Iversen, rested for Event Two of this year’s competition, watched on as his team-mates saw off the hosts, Czech Republic and Latvia in Vastervik.

The Stars number one is certain to be recalled to the Danes’ squad when they take on Poland, Great Britain and one other country in Saturday’s final. The last place will be taken by the winner of Thursday’s race-off between USA, Australia, Sweden and the Czechs – the nations who finished second and third in their ‘semis’.
