A new initiative will see the cost of cricket coaching courses in the county slashed – and some candidates will be eligible to claim back the entire application fee.

The fee for entering a Level One course is £240 and for Level Two it is £325. But under the new partnership between the Norfolk Cricket Board and Norfolk County Countil Adult Education, candidates aged 16 and over and not in full-time employment or education will be able to claim back the whole cost of the course upon successful completion.

All other candidates will be eligible for £100 towards the cost of a level One Course and £150 towards the cost of a Level Two course.

NCB cricket development manager Kieron Tuck said: “This opportunity for significant funding should greatly assist candidates with the cost of the winter courses and we hope it will encourage further applications for the four main Level One and Two courses, the first of which starts in November.”

Further information and application forms are available from the NCB website, www.norfolkcricket.co.uk/coach-education.asp
