Rookie boss Paul Cousins feels he will improve as a manager now Dick Creasey has returned to Wisbech Town.

The experienced defender stepped into the dugout for the first time in September, alongside Scott Johnson, after Steve Appleby quit the club. But the player/management duo is no more after Johnson stepped down in order to concentrate on his football leaving the door open for the Fenmen's former boss Creasey to make a comeback.

Cousins. who admits he is enjoying working alongside the Lincolnshire-based supremo, said: 'When Scott and I were in charge one of us would always have to be on the sidelines, and that was mainly me. With Dick on the sidelines, I can concentrate on playing – I have got myself fit and am playing well. He has lots of experience, which I can learn a great deal from.'

Danny White, Adam Millson and Tony Battersby picked up knocks during Saturday's fine 2-1 FA Vase win at Ashington but Cousins expects them all to be fit for this afternoon's home United Counties League Premier Division clash with basement boys Harborough Town.

Wisbech go into the fixture in buoyant mood after progressing to the fifth round of the national competition for the first time since 1997.

'The support we had at Ashington was absolutely fantastic,' added Cousins.

'It was really like having a 12th man.'
