Beccles are the first club in the Norfolk Alliance to get up to 100 points this season.

The Division Two pacesetters maintained their dream start to the season when they saw off the challenge of Great Witchingham A at Walcis Park.

After being asked to bat first they made a solid 216-8 off their 45 overs, with Cameron Robson's 64 off just 52 balls the highlight as Charlie Rogers took 3-16 for the hosts.

Beccles' bowlers then maintained the good work by dismissing the Witches for 144, a total that would have been considerably lower but for a fine 61 from No 8 Liam Channell, Alex Wright was the most successful of the visiting bowlers, taking 4-28 off nine overs.

Beccles are 18 points ahead of second-placed Topcroft, who were indebted to an excellent all-round effort from Greg Rostron as they made it three wins out of four by beating Hethersett and Tas Valley by 112 runs.

Rostron made 91 in a total of 267-5 and then took 4-29 to help restrict Valley to 155-9.

Ashmanhaugh and Barton Wanderers are third following a tense 10-wicket win over Bradenham.

Youngster Cameron Marrable took 4-35 as Wanderers successfully defended an all out total of 172.

Great Melton lead the way in Division Three after maintaining their 100 per cent start to the campaign by seeing off the challenge of visitors Martham, who had also started the season well.

It was a match that could have gone either way, however, with the home side eventually edging home by one wicket off the final ball off the match.

Martham made a competitive 195, with Louie Stronach contributing 65, and then came desperately close to claiming the win before the final pair of skipper Oliver Harris (18 not out) and Alex Rennie (16 not out) saw Melton home.

There are still two sides with 100 per cent records in Division Five, both of them former West Norfolk League teams.

Joel Gilmore scored an unbeaten 105 for leaders Hockwold as they won by nine wickets at the Denes Oval after bowling Lowestoft A out for 140 while Snettisham beat Old Catton (111-9) by the same margin.
