Aylsham stock car driver Matt Newson continues to lead the way in the BriSCA Formula One National Points Shootout with just three rounds to go, following an entertaining affair at the Norfolk Arena in King’s Lynn.

Fourth in the meeting final and sixth in his heat were enough for Newson to maintain his advantage with only the fixtures at Birmingham, Northampton and Sheffield remaining.

It’s the Unlimited Bangers Spooktacular on Saturday (6pm) which also features the British Under-25 Championship, won last year by Bungay’s Lee Clarke. Norwich’s Kyle Picton is among the favourites for honours. Salhouse racer Mark Quinsey is one of many drivers planning to race a special themed car.
