Norwich CEYMS dropped their first points of the Anglian Combination Premier Division campaign as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Beccles Town.
CEYMS had won all seven of their league games going into the contest but they had to settle for a point at College Meadow as Jason Clarke’s double ensured a share of the spoils for the home side. Daryl Dellany and Lewis Allen were on target for the visitors.
Bradenham Wanderers are third as goals from George Watts-Sturrock and Lee Woodgett gave them a 2-1 win at Acle United, whose goal came through Stephen Drake.
Jamie George got the only goal of the game for Mulbarton Wanderers at St Andrews whilst Caister romped to a 4-1 win at home against Blofield United – Anton Ward and Gaz Ward both bagging braces.
Waveney eased to an impressive 3-1 win at Hellesdon thanks to goals from Carl Burgess, Adam Taylor and Sam Allen.
Jack Child struck twice but it was only enough for a point for Stalham as they were held at home by Mattishall – Jackson Ramm and Stephan Gilding getting the goals for the away side.
Long Stratton claimed their sixth win of the season after a 2-1 victory at Reepham Town. Charlie Dean and Connor Fadden were on target for the south Norfolk side and Tim Edwards replied.
In Division One Sheringham stayed on top as goals from Ben Boyce (three), Tim Carey (two), Matt Halliday and Chris Fuller saw the Shannocks hammer Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves 7-0.
UEA are up to second after a 3-0 win against Hoveton Wherrymen – Luke Young, Ryan Swift and George Moore on target for the university side.
Wymondham’s game against Attleborough Town was abandoned due to a head injury to Danny Pennell but the player is now okay.
Paul Rayner and Kevin Bloomfield were both at the double in Watton United’s 5-2 win against North Walsham Town (Dale Wilton two).
James Harrison and Connor Kerry (two) helped Scole to a 3-0 win against Mundford whilst Darren West (two) and Matt Hudson (two) were on target in Hindringham’s 4-1 win at Loddon United.
Yelverton and Bungay Town shared the points in a 2-2 draw whilst Cromer Town are still without a win after a 6-0 defeat at home against Aylsham.
