FIREFIGHTERS are warning people to be careful when disposing of barbecues after a wheelie bin caught fire.
Crews from Farnworth were called to Victory Road, in Little Lever, at 9.30pm on Sunday night.
A bin was destroyed by the fire, which was caused by a disposable barbecue that was put inside.
Watch manager Darren Banks said: “We would warn people to make sure barbecues have cooled before throwing them away.”
