Two pint-sized additions to Sheringham carnival's 'royal' family were chosen at a selection disco held at the town community centre.
Six-year-old princess Lottie Cunningham-Brown, whose dad Andrew is Sheringham's town crier, and prince Jack Yaxley, 8, will join carnival queen Abbie Dowsett-Olby and attendants Chloe Hambling and Natasha Grand on the Leas at Sunday's crowning ceremony.
Attractions at the disco, which has been organised for the past eight years by staff and supporters from Ladybird Pre-School Nursery, included face painting, a nail bar, a teddy tombola, refreshments and a temporary tattoo stand.
After dancing to pop songs played by community centre stalwart Alfie Cox, youngsters waited with bated breath for carnival chaperone Della McClean to announce the winning pair, both of whom are pupils at Sheringham Primary School.
Abbie, 24, said picking the prince and prince had been 'quite a challenge'.
'The children were so chatty and there were some lovely little characters so it was very difficult to choose,' she said.
Mrs McClean, whose husband Stuart is carnival chairman, said that with the carnival family complete, organisers were now looking forward to crowning day on Sunday, which will kick off at 11am with a Newfoundland working dogs demonstration on central beach and children's games and activities on the Leas.
Other attractions will include stalls, a climbing wall, music from Invidia Voices rock and soul choir, a hog roast, a display by True Motion Dance troupe, circus skills demonstrations from Ramona Entertainments and a Yak52 air display.
Crowning the carnival queen at 2pm will be former North Norfolk district councillor Hilary Nelson, who was asked to take part in the ceremony in honour of her late husband Tony, who died last month after 30 years as Sheringham town crier.
The couple were both heavily involved in the carnival for many years, with Mr Nelson putting in two stints as chairman.
Mrs McClean said: 'Tony was a stalwart of the carnival who is greatly missed. He was the one who got Stuart and I involved and, although we were thrown in at the deep end, he was always there to give us advice, so we wanted to do something to honour his memory.'
