Every Tuesday I shall be showcasing a new gem from YouTube’s vast library, but with a Norfolk twist. It could be anything from a group of free-runners, an excerpt from a local play, something which made us laugh out loud, or a brilliant set-piece from Norwich City Football Club, so keep coming back every Tuesday to see what I have found.

This week’s video is a HD recording from YouTube contributor HexCam, of the 3D projection on the side of Norwich castle during the torch relay. This is a wonderful example of new technology mixing with the old, as the short film takes the viewer through the history of Norwich.

The short piece was a collaboration between Norwich University College of Arts (NUCA) student, Joe Kinch, and professional animators from Projection Advertising.

Come back next week to see what Norfolk has come up with next.

If you have seen any YouTube videos you think should be featured - weird and wacky, informative or sporty - and are Norfolk focused, please contact me via Cat.Evans@archant.co.uk

  • This was a master piece - great to see it again. Hope we see more. How about for the Fireworks display this year?
