Rebecca Humphries, 27, who was born in Thorpe St Andrew, has created her first one-hour live show, ‘Dizney Rascal’.

The show sees Rebecca taking on her Princess complex through sketch, stand up and song.

She puts her own twist on familiar tunes and weaves in her original numbers.

Miss Humphries, who trained at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, thanked her boyfriend, comedian Seann Walsh, for stirring her passion for the new venture.

She said: “I was suddenly exposed to this new world

“I love writing and musical theatre, I thought to myself maybe I’ll try doing a musical comedy.”

The performer, who is due to appear alongside Jack Whitehall in the new ITV2 series ‘Cockroaches’, will take her show to the Edinburgh Fringe festival at the beginning of August. She hopes her show
will bring a lighter tone to the festival.

Miss Humphries added: “I wanted to provide old school entertainment with no agenda

“That’s what I would want to see, I just want to have a laugh.”

The actress, best known for her starring role alongside Inbetweener Blake Harrison in Comedy Central’s Big Bad World, spoke of her inspiration found in Edinburgh last year.

“The festival is a saturated environment of talent.

“I thought to myself I want to be involved so I put caution to the wind.”

Although the talent described how she was scared and nervous she said: “I have complete faith in my amazing network that is going to help me.”

She added: “I’m hoping to have the time that will allow me to develop another show for Edinburgh next year. What I’ve gained from this experience is learning I’m not just an actor but a creative.”

Miss Humphries will be taking her show to The Talk, Norwich, on July 6.
