Anne and Adrian Hoare, who live in Gunton Road, have published Discovering Wymondham History Along its Streets.

The couple met as history undergraduates at the University of Hull. They married in Selly Oak on October 29, 1962 and moved to Wymondham in 1974 where they both worked at Wymondham College.

Memories of former Wymondham residents are included in the book. Two years ago, the authors began the huge task of listening to and transcribing tapes which were recorded during the 1980s, of older Wymondham residents, talking to members of the Heritage Society about their lives.

The book looks at the main streets of the town and the origins of their names and also many of the buildings along those streets, including houses, public buildings, pubs, inns and shops. Proceeds from the book, which costs £10, will be donated to Wymondham Heritage society.
