Visitors flocked to see a jump-racing meeting with a difference in a Norfolk village.
A thoroughbred line-up of “woolly jumpers” battled it out in the annual Beachamwell Lamb National, near Swaffham, yesterday.
The sheep racing is a popular highlight of the Beachamwell village fete and country fair.
Visitors also enjoyed a coconut shy, egg-throwing and hook the duck game.
Other more traditional country fair favourites included a dog show and clay pigeon shoot.
The free event also saw people buy work from artists and craftspeople, browse a bric-a-brac stall and sample food ranging from Indian cuisine to a barbecue and homemade cakes.
There was also a real ale bar, book and plant stalls, refreshments and a bouncy castle.
Live music was provided by Downham Market Swing Orchestra.
