Take a trip down memory lane with our fabulous photographic celebration of East Anglian life through the decades. Today we take a nostalgic look back at the picturesque market town of Stalham, situated on the River Ant.
From boatyards and country sales to traditional agricultural markets, tourism and fishing and a local museum, Stalham has changed enormously over the years but it is still very much at the heart of life on the broads, boasting some of the most beautiful and broad’s scenery in Norfolk.
Some of the county’s best known and longest established boating companies operate from Stalham’s staithe, making it a popular starting place for Broads boating holidays and continuing the long tradition of attracting tourists and day visitors to explore North Norfolk’s abundant waterways.
