A 23-year-old woman has been sexually assaulted as she was waiting by Lowestoft’s Bascule bridge.

The woman was in a small group of people waiting for the bridge to come down on the southside of the crossing at about 2.10pm on Thursday, Aril 17.

She felt a man, who was standing close to her, put his hand up her skirt and grab her bottom.

The man was white, 5ft 10in, of slim build and may have been in his 40s. He had a scruffy appearance and had short, grey hair, bad teeth, stubble and a tattoo on his forearm and was wearing jeans and a faded T-shirt.

Anyone with information should call PC Mark Brown at Lowestoft on 101, quoting reference LO/14/1886.
