The casualty, believed to be around 30 years old, was involved in a single vehicle collision in Drayton Road near the Lidl roundabout at around 8.45pm yesterday (Sunday).

The air ambulance, a land ambulance, police and fire crews attended, with the woman cut free from the white Peugeot and taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by land ambulance.

A spokesman for Norfolk police said there were two people in the crashed white Peugeot and no other vehicles were involved.

Fire appliances from Earlham, Sprowston and Carrow attended and crews assisted the ambulance in freeing the woman using enhanced heavy rescue equipment and small gear, making the vehicle stable and making the scene safe.
