It happened as the victim, a woman in her mid-20s, walked through St Nicholas Churchyard shortly after 11pm.

She noticed a group of teenagers in the churchyard and shortly after passing them, was approached by one who grabbed her around the neck before touching her inappropriately.

The woman shouted and struggled causing the man to run from the scene.

The suspect is described as around 19-years-old, 5ft 7, of slim build with dark hair and was wearing a red hooded fleece.

He was also wearing a white plastic charity band on his wrist featuring red and black writing.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed a man fitting the description given in the area around the times stated.
