Woman rescued from six-foot deep pit in Gorleston

An elderly woman injured her arm after falling into a six-foot deep pit inside a garage.
The woman, believed to be in her 80s, was unable to get herself out after falling into the pit in Gorleston this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Elmhurst Close at 12.15pm. An ambulance was sent and paramedics then called the fire service to help them get the woman out, with crews from Great Yarmouth and Gorleston attending.
The woman was then taken to the James Paget University Hospital for further care.
