Woman dies after car crashes into tree on the A1065 at West Lexham

A woman whose car crashed into a tree on the main road between Fakenham and Swaffham has died.

The woman was travelling towards Fakenham on the A1065 when her silver Citroen Xsara Picasso crashed into the tree at West Lexham on Wednesday.

She was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious head injuries. She died yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened close to the junction of the A1065 and B1145. A second vehicle, a blue VW Eos, also travelling in the same direction, was in the area at the time of the crash. The driver of the VW was unhurt.
