Witness appeal after head-on crash near Santon Downham leaves driver with fractured spine

An appeal for witnesses has been launched after a head-on collision between two cars which left a man with a fractured spine.
The crash took place on Friday at 8.20pm on the B1107 Thetford Road, 50 metres from the exit for High Lodge on the Brandon side.
A red Alfa Romeo 147 and a grey Vauxhall Vectra were involved.
The male driver of the Alfa Romeo was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with a a fractured spine and the road remained closed for four hours while the road was cleared.
A collision investigation is now underway and Suffolk Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the vehicles before the incident.
