The search for the winner of a £248,592 National Lottery prize has come to an end.
The owner of the winning ticket, which was bought in St Edmundsbury or Forest Heath for the EuroMillions draw on September 21, has now come forward.
The six figure sum is the third substantial lottery prize to be claimed in west Suffolk in as many months.
Adrian Bayford, 41 and his wife Gillian, 40, of Haverhill won £148million in August.
Two weeks later a mystery winner, also believed to be from Haverhill, claimed a prize of about £50,000 on the EuroMillions.
The identity of the most recent winner has not yet been revealed.
A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.
“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
