WHATFest, at Wymondham High School, includes a live music stage for all tastes and ages, from classical jazz to a leading Robbie Williams tribute.

And due on stage this evening is Sprowston performer Bill Downs who appeared on the BBC’s The Voice talent show earlier this year.

Covers band The Dulcet Tones will also play, as will ‘Heat’ a Norwich-based six-piece band.

Various other bands such as Smokes, Shoots and Leaves and the Flat-Foot Jazz trio will compliment school bands, choirs and backing music.

Other attractions include food stalls, a licensed bar, literary stage, games, and a bouncy castle.

Wymondham High community co-ordinator and media teacher, Mark Cole, said: “It’s a community festival held here because we’ve got the space, and we’ve got 1,800 kids so the school should be the focal point.

“With the jubilee there was so much stuff and it showed that there was a community spirit and everybody’s come together.”

The event goes on until 9pm.
