A north Norfolk railway station will be festooned in bunting when volunteers hold their annual tea party to raise funds for the gardens.

Station adopters at West Runton, on the Bittern Line, will be selling cakes and local produce and there will be a variety of stalls at the station from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, August 26.

Station adopter Jane Bothwell said: “This year the event will be enhanced by live music from the Pleasant Pluckers from Briston, which will help to create a party atmosphere.”

James Reeve, Greater Anglia’s area customer service manager, said: “We’re very grateful to the excellent station adopter team at West Runton for holding an event this year. The team has held some very popular events in the past, and we hope people enjoy it.

“West Runton is a beautiful station and the team of adopters work very hard to keep the gardens looking bright and welcoming.”
