A west Norfolk carer has been nominated for a national award for her outstanding services to the home care sector.

Jacqueline Lynn, 59, is one of only five finalists shortlisted for caregiver of the year at the Home Instead Senior Care awards.

Ms Lynn joined the at-home care company Home Instead West Norfolk in 2016 and has been described by her clients and their family members as cheerful and kind.

She was nominated for the award by Jeannette McEwan, owner of Homes Instead West Norfolk based in King's Lynn.

Ms McEwan said: 'She will undertake anything requested by her clients and nothing is ever too much trouble. She is the kind of caregiver I would hope for if the need ever arose.

'Jacqui has supported the same client since she joined us last year. She recognised what an intelligent woman her client was despite her dementia diagnosis and strived to get to her know her as a best she could.'
