Wells lifeboat was called out to assist a speedboat that had broken down this evening.
Shortly before 9pm Wells inshore lifeboat was launched to assist an 18ft speedboat which had broken down in Blakeney Channel with three crew on board.
Mark Frary was at the helm of the lifeboat with Martin Emmerson, Martyn Flitcroft and Ross Fulford as his crew.
On reaching the speedboat the low state of the tide made it impossible for the lifeboat to tow the speedboat into Morston, and so it was moored on a buoy at the entrance to Morston Creek where it will stay overnight before being recovered tomorrow.
The three speedboat crew were escorted on foot to Morston and handed into the care of the local coastguard team.
The lifeboat returned to Wells lifeboat station at 10.10pm this evening.
