Budding stormchasers can hear a first-hand account of the pursuit of nature’s most violent thunderstorms at a talk at the University of East Anglia.
Weathermen Chris Bell and Dan Holley will present Storm Chasing in the Great Plains, an account of their trip across America during the summer of 2012.
The pair travelled through Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico in search of severe thunderstorms, supercells and lightning.
The free presentation will be held at the Thomas Paine Study Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesday.
It is being hosted by the Royal Meteorological Society’s East Anglia centre.
Prior to the talk, there will be drinks and snacks, and the society’s new members will be welcomed.
Terrorism returned to the streets of London today as two suspected Muslim fanatics butchered a man in broad daylight in the name of “Allah”.
