The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert and urges people to take extra care because of the potential for localised flooding.

Phil Garner, a meteorologist at UEA-based Weatherquest said: “It looks as though there’s a risk of heavy thunder from the south.

“It will be quite a warm, humid day, but even in the morning there might be some isolated, light showers.

“The main risk though is for Saturday evening, overnight into Sunday morning.”

He advised people to stay tuned to weather forecasts leading up to the weekend, as Norfolk could manage to escape the worst of the rain.

  • I agree. Im afraid that this website looks very amateurish in comparison with other newspapers online contribution. Sadly though Archant have little competition so can afford to be slack.
