Info-graphic map on today's temperatures

We may think it’s cold in Norwich with all the snow and temperatures dropping to as low as -8 °C, but spare a thought for those living in Russia, Mongolia and parts of Canada where the temperatures are far, far lower.

Today at Yakutsk, in Russia, the temperature is -44 °C, while in Inuvik, in Canada’s Northwest Territories, it is only slightly “warmer” at -35 °C. In Ulaanbaatar, in Mongolia, thermometers are measuring -20 °C.

Meanwhile at the other end of the scale, Colombo, in Sri Lanka, is enjoying a temperature of 32 °C and Phnom Penh, in Cambodia, 31 °C.
