People woke up to large snow drifts and freezing temperatures, that have caused dozens of schools to close in our region.

First Bus has stopped operating services 1, 1A, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 until further notice due to the increasingly bad weather.

There are no trains between Great Yarmouth and Norwich.

Bin collections have been cancelled for a second day by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, with the council Tweeting: “Waste & recycling collections due for today have been postponed due to snow.

Please leave out your bin in a safe & accessible position & it will be collected as soon as possible. Apologies but the vehicles are 26 tonnes so it’s risky to take them onto slippery residential roads.”

People could be seen gingerly walking through the town, which look eerily deserted. Cars were also moving slowly as roads are covered in slush, snow and ice.

In Caister it was reported there was 20cm of snow.
