Maryisa Chappell’s brolly didn’t last long on King’s Lynn’s rain-lashed waterfront today.

And Norfolk looks set to stay cloudy tomorrrow, with the odd wintry shower thrown in.

Things are going to get colder towards the end of the week, with North Sea coasts shivering in a northerly wind.

There are warnings Scotland and north-eastern England could see the first snow of the winter. It’s not clear whether any will reach this far south.

But elsewhere, some are already predicting the coldest winter for half a century.
