One of Britain's best-loved actors will be appearing on our television screens tomorrow night, enjoying some of the highlights Norfolk has to offer.

Weekend Escapes with Warwick Davis will air on ITV and sees the 3ft 6in star and his family - wife Sam, daughter Annabel and son Harrison - take part in a road trip around the county in their camper van.

The family will go to Hunstanton first - a resort built in the 1800s as a destination for leisure-seeking Victorians. Here they visit the local beach and RNLI-owned Hunstanton Lifeboat Station, which was founded in 1867. During his visit Mr Davis took part in a training exercise and after being squeezed into a dry suit he was taken out to sea on one of the hovercrafts.

Then the family journey to Great Bircham, near Kings Lynn, to visit a 200-year-old windmill, once used to grind corn and pump water from the marshland.

Today its owner has branched out into sheep farming and the Davis family have a go at milking the flock.

Finally, on the last leg of their Norfolk trip, Mr Davis takes his family to the local amusement arcade.

The actor is best known for playing Wicket the Ewok in 1983's Star Wars: Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi.

• The show will air tomorrow night at 8pm on ITV.
