Archant Norfolk 2015

Readings and reflections, poems and plenty of tea and cake will all be part of an Armistice Day event being planned in Norwich.

The Grapes Hill Community Garden will host the remembrance morning on Sunday, November 11 from 10am to midday.

Simon Floyd from drama group The Common Lot and Owen Evans from The Nimmo Twins will be among those making readings, and there will be a war historian in First World War kit there answering questions about the conflict.

Joy Clarke from the Quakers will also be there to talk about the white poppy appeal - which remembers all victims of war.

There will also be photos and information about Norwich history on display and wildflower seeds with poppies available to take away. Two minutes’ silence will also be held.

The event is free to attend.
