The swirling aerial ballet of a flock of starlings has been captured by a reader in Holt.

Local town councillor Jono Read shot the footage which has says has become a familiar sight over the town.

He said: “This flock of Starlings are a daily event in the sky of Holt in Norfolk just before dusk.

“They will often gather together at night, miles from where they roost, to keep warm at night.”

Watch the video to see the hypnotic dance of the thousands of birds as their ever changing smudge moves around the dusk sky.
