Dozens of firefighters were called to a large field fire in a north Norfolk village today.
The 100-acre blaze in a corn field off Ramsgate Street, Edgefield, near Holt, started at 11.20am after a combine harvester caught fire.
Crews from Holt, Sheringham, Aylsham, Cromer, Fakenham, Sprowston, Earlham, Wymondham, Hethersett, North Walsham and Dereham were called.
A water carrier from Hethersett was also at the scene.
The fire was put out just after 12.40pm and most of the crews have now left the field.
Firefighters used hose reel jets and farm machinery to stop the flames from spreading further.
A Norfolk Fire Service spokesman said 80 acres of stubble and 20 acres of standing crops were damaged.
The road was closed by Norfolk police but reopened at 1.10pm.
