A pop-punk band from Norwich is asking for your vote to win the chance to play a national music festival.

Five-piece group Call It Reckless has reached the final of a Red Bull competition to play the Red Bull Stage at Download Festival this summer.

The huge festival, at Donington Park, is headlined by Aerosmith, Linkin Park and Avenged Sevenfold this year, and a festival slot would offer huge exposure to an emerging band.

Call It Reckless formed at the start of 2012.

The female-fronted group have supported a string of bands, and cite Kids In Glass Houses and You Me At Six among their influences.

More than 600 bands entered the Red Bull festival competition, narrowed down to 100 by a public vote then to a final 15 by judges including Radio One DJ Huw Stephens, Kerrang! Radio DJ Katie P and head of Red Bull Records UK Angie Somerside.

The final 15 bands each recorded a song at Red Bull Studios in London, and they are now posted online for a final public vote,

The six bands who get the most votes will win the chance to play Download Festival in June, followed by two further bands selected by the judges.

Voting closes at 5pm on Friday.
