Café customers at a town centre theatre were treated to a surprise performance from the young cast of Les Misérables.
Sheringham Little Theatre launched a flashmob in both its Hub café and the town.
The event started with one boy singing alone in the café, before being joined by multiplying voices from the entire cast.
One unsuspecting customer said: “It’s not something you see every day, but I suppose that’s what happens when you come to a theatre.”
The Les Misérables School Edition production at Sheringham Little Theatre is made up of 36 children and teenagers, aged between 11-19, mainly from across north Norfolk including Sheringham High School, Alysham High School, Gresham High School and Cromer High School.
After the Hub flashmob on Saturday, the cast took to the streets and sung songs from the musical to tourists and residents in the town.
Director Tracey Loftus said: “It has been a pleasure to watch these young people immerse themselves in their characters and grow in skill and confidence as rehearsals progressed. They cannot be faulted for their commitment, especially as they are juggling other shows and a range of interests outside education.”
The show starts on Friday April 11 and runs until Saturday April 19, at 7.30pm with matinees at 2.30pm on the 12th and 19th.
Tickets cost £11 for adults, and £8 for those under 18. To book call 01263 822347 or visit www.sheringhamlittletheatre.com
