Nine-year-old Alisha Goh’s flowing locks took a lifetime to grow - but just seconds to snip off.
But for the Thetford youngster, it was worth the sacrifice as she donated 18 inches of her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
The Diamond Academy pupil was joined at Style Lounge, in Thetford, last week by her auntie Donna Hampton, who also gave up 14 inches of hair for the charity.
Ms Hampton, 26, said she was proud of her neice after their family had been affected by cancer.
“We’ve had relatives who have suffered from it and Alisha wanted to do something for little girls who have lost their hair.
“We both had very long hair and thought this would be a good way to raise awareness. I’m glad we went through with it, knowing that it’s going to someone who needs it,” she said.
