Victim of fatal A11 crash near Mildenhall named by police

Police have named the victim of a fatal crash on the A11 earlier this week.

Sharon Field, 56, from Offley, Hitchin in Hertfordshire, sustained serious injuries in the incident at around 11.15am on Tuesday. She died the following day at Addenbroooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Ms Offley was driving a VW Passat which was involved in a collision with a Citroen Picasso and a box van.

The male driver of the box van was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Citroen Picasso was uninjured.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call to call PC Karl Hale at the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting CAD 131 of 1/4/14.
